Create Shipping Rates

Important: The method for creating shipping rates depends on your chosen integration type and Shopify plan. Some integrations require advanced Shopify features that may not be available on Basic plans.

Overview

Each delivery provider supports different integration methods for shipping rates. Before proceeding, identify which integration type you're using:

Integration Types

1. Manual Mapping (Own-created shipping rates)

With manual mapping, you create shipping rates directly in your Shopify admin and then link them to the corresponding delivery methods in the Shipdock.

Best for: Merchants on Basic Shopify plans without access to carrier-calculated shipping (CCS)

2. CCS Dynamic Shipping Rates

Dynamic shipping rates are calculated in real-time by Shipdock and automatically displayed at checkout. Rates are based on cart contents, destination, and carrier pricing.

Best for: Merchants with carrier-calculated shipping (CCS) enabled who want real-time rate calculations

Requirements:

• Third-party carrier-calculated shipping must be enabled on your Shopify store

3. CCS Nearest Pickup Points

This integration automatically detects the customer's location and displays the X nearest pickup points as selectable shipping options at checkout.

Best for: Non-Shopify Plus merchants who want customers to select pickup points directly at checkout, rather than through a widget after order completion

Requirements:

• Third-party carrier-calculated shipping must be enabled on your Shopify store
