ShipDock needs to know which shipping rate in your checkout belongs to which courier, and whether it is a pickup point or a home delivery rate. You set this per courier, and you can choose from three integration types.
You need the Lite plan or higher. Without a plan the courier pages are locked.
Connect the courier first.
For the two CCS options, carrier-calculated shipping must be active on your Shopify store. Whether you have it depends on your Shopify plan, and Shopify support can enable it on some plans. See "Activate carrier-calculated shipping" below.
Open Providers and open the courier.
Go to the Pickup points tab or the Home delivery tab.
Under Choose integration, pick one of the options below.
Manual rates mapping: Your own rates in Shopify. How the customer picks a pickup point: In the pickup point widget. Tabs: Pickup points, Home delivery. Shopify requirement: None.
CCS - Dynamic Rates: Prices you set per country in ShipDock. How the customer picks a pickup point: In the pickup point widget. Tabs: Pickup points, Home delivery. Shopify requirement: Carrier-calculated shipping.
CCS - Nearest Pickup Points: Prices you set per country in ShipDock. How the customer picks a pickup point: Each nearby pickup point is its own shipping option in checkout, no widget. Tabs: Pickup points only. Shopify requirement: Carrier-calculated shipping.
Until carrier-calculated shipping is active, both CCS options are greyed out with the badge Store don't support CCS. Once it is active, CCS - Dynamic Rates shows the badge Recommend.
Which one to use:
You already have rates in Shopify and don't want to change checkout: Manual rates mapping.
You want prices by weight or cart value per country, managed in one place: CCS - Dynamic Rates.
Your store is not on Shopify Plus and you want customers to pick the pickup point in checkout: CCS - Nearest Pickup Points.
In Shopify, open the shipping settings and add a rate for this courier's pickup points to each shipping zone, for example "Packeta - Pickup point". Set its price there.
In ShipDock, open the courier's Pickup points tab and choose Manual rates mapping.
Click Select pickup points. The dialog lists the rate names from your Shopify shipping zones.
Tick the rates that mean pickup point delivery for this courier and confirm. You can map several names, for example one per language.
If a new rate is missing from the list, click Refresh shipping rates.
Save.
Add the pickup point widget so customers can choose a specific point (How to add the pickup point widget to your store).
Create the home delivery rates in Shopify, for example "DPD - Home delivery".
In ShipDock, open the courier's Home delivery tab and choose Manual rates mapping.
Click Add delivery, pick the Shopify rate and choose the courier service in Carrier.
Repeat for each rate and country, then save.
The name must match the Shopify rate name. If you rename a rate in Shopify, update the mapping in ShipDock too, otherwise new orders with the new name are not recognised.
One Shopify rate can belong to only one courier. Rates used by another courier are greyed out with (Already used in … provider).
Pickup point rates and home delivery rates must have different names.
Add custom lets you type a name that no longer exists in Shopify, so older orders with that name are still recognised.
Do this once before you use either CCS option.
In ShipDock, open Settings → General and find Carrier Calculated Shiping (CCS) → Status.
If it says CCS is not enabled for your Shopify plan, ask Shopify support to enable carrier-calculated shipping for your store, or change your Shopify plan.
When Shopify has enabled it, click Reactive. The status changes to CCS feature on your store is enabled and active.
In Shopify, add Shipdock - Shipping rates where ShipDock should offer rates: to every shipping zone, or, if your store manages shipping in Markets (market-driven shipping), as a Carrier or app calculated shipping option in every market. On stores with zones, ShipDock adds it to the zones of your CCS countries by itself after you save the courier. Details: How to enable carrier-calculated shipping (CCS).
Important: Step 4 is the one most often missed. Without Shipdock - Shipping rates in a zone or market, Shopify never asks ShipDock for rates and customers there see no ShipDock options. Check it again after you add a new zone or after Disable Carrier API and Reactive.
Open the courier's Pickup points or Home delivery tab and choose CCS - Dynamic Rates.
Click Add country. You can only add countries that are in your Shopify shipping zones and that the courier serves.
In Edit country, enter the Shipping name (the rate title in checkout) and, optionally, a Shipping description. On the Home delivery tab, also choose the courier service in Carrier.
Set the Pricing rules (see below) and save the dialog.
On the Home delivery tab you can add more rates per country with Add shipping rate, for example Standard and Express.
Save the courier.
Pickup point rates still need the widget, because the customer picks the point after choosing the rate.
Open the courier's Pickup points tab and choose CCS - Nearest Pickup Points.
Click Add country and pick a country.
In Edit country, keep or change the Shipping name (default {CarrierName} • {PickupPointName} • {PickupPointId}) and the Shipping description (default {Distance} km - {PickupPointFullAddress}), and set the Pricing rules.
Set Number of pickup points in Checkout (default 5). It applies to every country of this courier.
Save the courier.
ShipDock shows the pickup points of that courier nearest to the address the customer entered, in the same country and within about 30 km. If the address cannot be found or no point is close enough, no pickup point options appear for that courier.
Note: With this integration the customer cannot change the pickup point after ordering, because the point is part of the shipping option they paid for. You can still change it on the order in ShipDock.
Details: How to show the nearest pickup points as shipping rates
In Edit country → Pricing rules:
Choose the Strategy: Based on item weight (cart weight in kg from your product weights) or Based on order price (cart total).
Fill in the rows: from, to and Shipping cost:. Leave "to" empty for no upper limit. Use Add pricing rule for more rows.
Optionally set Free shipping:, the cart total from which the rate costs 0.
How rows are applied:
Rows are checked from top to bottom and the first matching row wins. Both limits are included, so 0 to 5 kg includes 5 kg.
A row with both limits empty matches every cart.
If no row matches, the rate is not shown at all. Free shipping also only applies when a row matches.
Price limits and free shipping are in your store currency. Shipping cost has its own currency selector, prefilled with the country's local currency, so check it when you add a country.
No ShipDock rates in checkout: check that the CCS status says it is enabled and active, that Shipdock - Shipping rates is in the customer's shipping zone, that the courier is active, that the customer's country is added in the courier's Shipping rates card, and that a pricing row matches the cart.
A mapped rate stopped working after you renamed it in Shopify: select the new name in the courier's mapping. Keep the old name with Add custom if older orders still use it.
Label creation says the shipping method is not assigned to any provider: the order's rate name is not mapped to a courier. Map it, or change the courier on the order.
Nearest pickup points don't appear, but other rates do: the address is incomplete or there is no point nearby. Test with a real checkout and a real address, because Shopify's rate preview in the admin does not show these options.
