This guide takes you from a fresh install to your first shipping label. It follows the App setup guide on the ShipDock home page, where you can tick off each step, and adds the two steps the guide does not list: choosing a plan and setting up shipping rates. Each step links to a detailed article.
Open Billing in the ShipDock menu and pick a plan. Without a plan the courier pages are locked.
Lite: connect couriers, show the pickup point widget, set up shipping rates, export orders to CSV.
Full: everything in Lite, plus creating and printing shipping labels through the courier, automatic labels, customs declarations and automatic COD mark as paid.
Stores on Shopify Plus see the Full Shopify Plus plan instead.
ShipDock supports 40+ couriers.
Open Providers and click Create provider.
Select the country you ship from. The list shows the couriers available for that country.
Click Select on the courier. Couriers in beta show Use in BETA, and couriers available on request show Request BETA access, which opens a short request form for our team.
On the courier page, enter your login details from the courier and your sender address, then save.

Couriers need the parcel size and weight to create a label.
Open Settings → General.
Under Shipping packages, edit the default box or click Add package to add the boxes you ship in (size and weight). Use Set as default on the box you use most. You can change the box for a single order later.
Under Fallback settings, enter a Weight in grams. It is used when your products have no weight and the order weighs 0 g.
Save.
ShipDock has to know which shipping rate in your checkout belongs to which courier. Open Providers, open the courier, go to the Pickup points or Home delivery tab and pick one option under Choose integration:
Manual rates mapping: you create the rates in Shopify and link them to the courier. Works on every Shopify plan.
CCS - Dynamic Rates: you set prices per country in ShipDock and the app returns them in checkout.
CCS - Nearest Pickup Points (Pickup points tab only): the nearest pickup points appear as shipping options in checkout, so the customer picks the point there, without a widget.
The CCS options need carrier-calculated shipping to be active on your Shopify store.
Details: How to set up shipping rates
Skip this step if you only ship to home addresses or use CCS - Nearest Pickup Points for all pickup point rates.
In Shopify's checkout editor, add the app block Pickup point selector to the Thank you and Order status pages. This works on every Shopify plan.
On Shopify Plus, you can also add the block to Checkout, so customers choose the point before they pay.
In ShipDock, open Settings → Widget (Pickup points) and choose the Display mode (TY / OS page): Banner or List with Map.
If you use Banner, adjust its texts for your markets in Settings → Translations.

Customers on stores without Shopify Plus choose the pickup point after they pay. If they forget, ShipDock can email them about 5 minutes after the order and ask them to pick one.
Open Settings → Notifications.
Turn on Enable email reminder, fill in the sender details and the message, and save.
The setup guide does not show this step on Shopify Plus stores, where customers choose the point in checkout.

Creating labels needs the Full plan.
Open Orders in ShipDock.
Tick the orders and click Create labels, or Create labels & Fulfill to also fulfill them in Shopify.
Click Print labels.
You can also create labels from the Shopify order list or let ShipDock create them automatically.
